Pricing
What moves the number
Every panel quote comes down to a handful of things. Here is what we are looking at while we walk your service.
- Service size — staying at 100 amps versus stepping up to 200 amps changes the equipment and the utility coordination.
- Meter, mast and lateral condition — rusted masts and failing meter sockets get replaced with the panel, not after it.
- Grounding and bonding — older homes often need new ground rods, water bond or an updated grounding electrode conductor.
- Panel relocation — moving a panel out of a closet or bathroom adds feeder work and drywall coordination.
- Permit and inspection fees — every jurisdiction prices these differently, and they are already in your quote.
- Add-ons like EV charger circuits or a subpanel — cheaper bundled with the panel than as a second trip.
If the total is more than you planned for this month, monthly payment options are available through Hearth and checking them does not affect your credit score.
Spread the cost over monthly payments
Financing through Hearth lets you move on a failing panel now and pay for it monthly. Prequalifying takes a couple of minutes and uses a soft credit check.

Estimate FAQs
Questions people ask before booking
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Panel estimates are free. We come out, open the panel, look at the meter, mast and grounding, and give you a written number based on what is actually there rather than a guess over the phone.
How soon can you get to my house?
Estimates are usually scheduled within a few business days. Installation timing depends on permit turnaround and utility scheduling in your jurisdiction, and we give you a realistic date at the estimate.
How much does a panel upgrade cost?
It depends on the service size, the condition of the meter and mast, grounding work and local permit fees. We give you one fixed written price after seeing the equipment, and we do not add change orders unless you change the scope.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer financing through our lending partner so a panel replacement can be paid monthly instead of all at once. Checking your options does not affect your credit score.
Do you pull the permit?
Always. Every jurisdiction we serve requires a permit and inspection for panel work. We pull it, meet the inspector and close it out. The cost is in your quote.
How long will my power be off?
For most panel replacements and upgrades the outage window is four to six hours. We tell you the expected window before the day and keep you updated as the work progresses.
